Fly Away

Locked up in a cage
I look at the sky
I don't remember my age
All I want is to fly

I want to spread my wings
And  fly each day
Listen to the sound of the wind
That carries me away

I want to go home
Where I am the master of my own will
I want to go home
Where no one govern's my will

Fed up of being a puppet
Of someone else's hand
Fed up of dancing to someone else's celebration
Which for me isn't that grand

I look at others
Who share the same fate
I quietly think to myself
"Probably this is the reason why we are made"

I hope you fare well :)

We bid a "farewell"
we say a goodbye
We're setting out on a new journey
A journey towards life

I say goodbye
But I do not tend to part
For I know goodbye's are just temporary
And one goodbye is followed by another hello

Its the bond between us
That is so strong
Its the love that we share
That no goodbye can take

As I look back in time
I see us all coming together
I see us all kising the sun
With our happy friendship song

I wish you luck
I wish you success
I wish you all the love
I wish you fare well :)

My Country, My Pride

Recently, I came across the article on introducing LGBT rights in Nepal.... A series of emotion hit my head... I was very happy to see Nepal progressing but at the same time, i was upset because our culture and tradition was slowly and steadily fading away...
I close my eyes for a minute and think about Nepal. I picture my country as the only paradise of the world that has the world's tallest peak and other mountains.... The sun shining in the clear blue sky... Small towns and cities with hills around them, acting as their natural barrier... Greenery all around which still hosts a number of medicinal plants... Rivers and springs... The rich culture and traditions of each community... The local festival of 'Gai Jatra' or 'Trishul Jatra' or be it selecting Kumari, the living goddess... The uniqueness of Nepalese flag made me feel proud...
When I opened my eyes, i knew my dream was far from reality... The tallest peak was filthy, the clear blue sky now filled with smoke released out of vehicles, small towns under the threat of being attacked by god knows who all... Rivers and forest being used for the benefit of foreign land rather than my own country...
I feel ashamed to say that the constitution of Nepal is written and re-written again and again...
People lack security there...
My dream of Nepal as a paradise is always set upon in my heart, but sometimes, i feel, that is it worth the dream?
